THANK YOU “Nutty Friends!”

We have had such a fabulously fun week around here at Krema :-)   The response from the TODAY SHOW and from my blog PB giveaway has been tremendous!  We are shipping out tons of FREE jars of PB to our new (and old ;) ) PB fans!  And even better – a lot of our “Nutty Friends” on our blog-roll are having their own giveaways this week in celebration of our national TV debut!  Check out some of these links on the right to our friends’ blogs…we have such cool (and some super nutty) friends!!

WE MADE IT ON THE TODAY SHOW!!!

And not only did we make it – we rocked it!  Our Crazy Richard’s PB was the second product to be spotlighted on the TODAY SHOW out of all of the ‘healthy packaged foods’ that Prevention magazine brought to showcase!  AND both Hoda and Kathie Lee sampled our crunchy PB with spoons right there on the show in front of the Nation and they both LOVED IT! (Not too mention the incredibly rave reviews the author from Prevention magazine kept repeating over and over about our healthy and fabulous-tasting PB!!!!) We are all going CRAZY around here! (Nothing new, really ;-)

Watch the TODAY SHOW tomorrow!!!

Hey all!  Just wanted to give ya’ll a heads up – we probably, maybe, almost definitely, most likely, perhaps, somewhat potentially, most certainly, quite possibly could be featured on the TODAY SHOW tomorrow morning!  That’s right.  You read me correctly.  The TODAY SHOW!!!!  Wednesday, March 10th at 10:00 am!  Why exactly?  You ask??  Well…IMG_0098

I was recently contacted by Prevention magazine who said they were going to feature us in an upcoming issue and voila!  Here we are already published in their March 2010 issue.  The section is called “CLEAN UP YOUR DIET : The Case for Natural Foods” and talks about how important it is to change your eating habits by choosing to eat whole foods over processed foods.  Crazy Richard’s PB is talked about and a photo of a  jar of Crazy Richard’s PB is on pages 138-139 in the article “Packaged Foods We Love.”prevention

Here I am in my local grocery store check-out line pointing to the mini-sized Prevention magazine.  How awesome that Prevention wrote about Crazy Richard’s PB all on their own!?  And then they contacted us to let us know about their upcoming article!!  We didn’t have to give them anything or try to ‘sell’ our product to them – they were already sold on the fabulousness of our PB!  Amazing!!!store

Can you tell I’m trying out the “Sisters’ Smile” ??  hehe.

PB Choc Chip Marbled Banana Bread

Wow.  That title is a mouthful!  But once you make this banana bread – your mouth will be full of something much yummier!  hehe ;)   Here’s what I did…

4 T softened butter
1/4 C unsweetened, organic applesauce
2 eggs
2 T skim milk or water
3/4 C light brown sugar
1 C mashed ripe organic bananas (2-3 medium bananas)
1 3/4 C King Arthur Whole Wheat Flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt (optional)
1/2 C Krema Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 C dark chocolate chips
1/8 C unsweetened cocoa powder

Beat butter, applesauce, eggs, milk and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until smooth.  Add mashed bananas and blend at low speed; beat at high speed 1 to 2 minutes.  Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix into batter.  Add PB and chocolate chips.

Divide batter in half, beat in cocoa powder to one haft until combined.  Alternate pouring the two batters into a greased loaf pan 8 x 4 x 2 inches; then take a clean knife and make just a few swirls to marble the cocoa batter with the plain.  Top with additional chocolate chips if desired.

Bake at 350 degrees until bread is golden brown and toothpick inserted comes out clean (about 55 to 60 minutes).  Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool to room temp or cut off a slice and eat it warm :-) pb choc chip marble banana bread

*Also great as muffins!  Cook muffins at the same temperature for 15-20 minutes.pb choc chips marbled banana bread
